The highly coveted green future

In 2008, Groß & Partner and a partner secured the contract to build the headquarters of the Deutsche Börse Group. After an efficient construction phase, the developers handed the THE CUBE in Eschborn over, ready for use, in 2010 – in keeping with the schedule and budget.

The show-stopper of the 21-floor building is the 83-m-high foyer, where eleven overpasses and eight bridges connect the two L-shaped structures to the centre of the headquarters. A place for communication, exhibitions and events.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow daylight deep within, flooding the contemporary office and meeting rooms.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow daylight deep within, flooding the contemporary office and meeting rooms, which have been flexibly and practically designed for teams or meetings of any size.

An integrated co-generator, water-level heat storage tank, heat recovery system and smart building technology make the office block one of the country’s most resource-friendly.

All this culminated in the US Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum Award, a standard upheld by no other skyscraper in Germany. A benchmark for sustainable construction across Europe.
